William de Stanley
- Marriage: Alice de Houghton in 1431 268,269
- Died: 17 Feb 1466, Lancashire, England 208
General Notes:
There are some conflicting information given in Richardson's Magna Carta Ancestry (pp. 303-304) and Boyer's Medieval Ancestors of Robert Abell, (pp.223-231) which is based on George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol II, Stanley of Hooton pedigree, p. 415. Hoping to find a clue to clear up this confusion I checked the Baronetage of England, Vol. II, Published in 1771, (pp. 205-206) authored by Thomas Wotton, Edward Kimber, Richard Johnson, who agrees with Richardson. It is possible that Omerod left out the generation that was supplied by the Baronetage of England, Vol. II. I've chosen to follow the information supplied by Richardson and Wooton, Kimber & Johnson for this reason. 821,713,721,848
