William Pantulf of Cublesdon and Hale was the son and heir of William, who was a younger son of Ivo Pantulf. William, the son, was deceased in 1253. He left a widow, Alice, called "Lady of Halys," in 1255, and an only daughter, Roisia. Roisia married Richard Trussell who was slain at Evesham in 1265. Their son and heir, William Trussell, b. 1261, was of full age at the death of his mother Rosia, in 1294, and succeeded to her estates at Cublesdon and Sheriff Hales.
