Father Madariaga forwarded the proceedings to Durango. On 18 March 1823, Governor of the Bishopric Millan Rodriguez, granted a dispensation. He ordered the priest in Tome to publish the banns three times. Assuming no new impediment arose, he was to proceed with the marriage and nuptial blessing.

1. In Tomé, on 28 Mar 1804, Father Guerra, priest Alburquerque, baptized eight-day-old Francisco Antonio, the legitimate son of Antonio Otero and Lutgarda García, citizens of Valencia. His godparents were Miguel Aragón and Antonia Rita Chaves.

2. On 23 Aug 1807 in Isleta, futher José Ignacio Sanchez baptized five-day-old Maria Elena, the leggitimate daughter of Miguel Antonio Aragón and María Rita Chaves. Her godparents were Nereo Montoya and Ana María Aragón.

3. In Valencia on 16 Feb 1823, Antonio Otero, citizen of the plaza of Valencia, granted his permission for his son Francisco Antonio Otero to marry María Elena Aragón.

4. In Valenciia, on 16 Feb 1823, Miguel Aragon, citizen of the plaza of Valencia, gave his permission for his daughter, María Elena Aragón, to marry Francisco Antonio Otero.
