• Background Information. 141 Saer de Quency or Quincy, was a tenant of Anselm de Chokes at Long Buckby, Northamptonshire sometime around 1124-1129. Saer's wife was Maud, the wodow of Robert Fitz Richard "de Clare," and the daughter of Simón de St. Liz, Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton and his wife Maud, the first daughter and coheir of Waltheof, Earl of Northumberland, Huntingdon and Northampton. Saher was alive on 12 Jan 1145/46, and dired sometime around 1156/58. His wife was alive in 1158, and died before 1163.
