Sir Rchard de Hoghton was born in 1701 and died sometime before 1468. His wife was Margaret, and from them descended the Hoghtons of Hoghton Tower. Their daughter was named Alicia de Hoghton, who married William de Stanley.

Margaret married Sir Richard de Houghton Knight, son of Sir William de Houghton Knight and Alicia. (Sir Richard de Houghton Knight was born about 1390 in England ¹⁶⁷ and died before 1468 in England ¹⁶⁷.)
