• Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands. The 1130 Pipe Roll records "Ranfi Auenelli" in Sussex [Pipe Roll 31 Hen I (1129/30), p. 66]. Randulf married Alice, daughter of Adela who was the daughter of Boudouin de Brionne. The Fundationis et Fundatorum Historia of Ford Abbey records that "domina Alicia uxor domini Randolphi Avenell filia sua" succeeded "vicecomitissa Adelicia" in "dominio de Okehampton…et castrum Exoniæ" [Dugdale Monasticon V, Ford Abbey, Devonshire I, p. 378]. Randulf & Alica had a daughter named Matilda who married Robert d´Avranches.
Alica married Randulf de Avenell. (Randulf de Avenell died after 1130 in Sussex, England.)
