Maud, daughter of Nicholas de Moels, married Richard Lorty. [Ex. e Rot. Fin. (Rec. Com.), ii. 295] The fee simple of the manor appears to have formed part of Maud's dower, for in 1242 Richard Lorty held it of Nicholas de Moels. [Bk. of Fees. ii. 735] Richard was succeeded by his son, Henry Lorty, [Rot. Hund. (Rec. Com.), ii. 276] who in 1309 settled the manor upon himself and his wife Sibyl.

Maud married Richard del Ortiay, son of Sir Henry de Ortiay Knight and Sabine Revel.1303 (Richard del Ortiay died before 1309.)
