• Web Reference: Wikipedia en español: Sancho García de Castilla, called "el de los buenos Fueros" was count of Castile from the death of his father in 995 until 1017. He was the son of García Fernández and his wife Ava de Ribagorza and grandson of the count of Castilla and Álava Fernán González. He rebelled against his father with the support of Al-Mansur of Córdoba. This resulted in the partition of the county between father and son, and the county was not reunited until his father's death five years later.
He married Urraca Gómez of the Banu Gómez de Saldaña family with whom he had six children:
