• Background Information. 713 Sir Robert de Fouleshurts, knight, second son of Richard de Fouleshurst of Edlaston married Elizabeth, the Sole daughter and heir of Thomas de Praers, Lord of Bertumlegh, sometime after the death of Thomas de Praers. With this marriage came the combined estates of the Praers and Crewe families. He died sometime before his Inquisition Post Mortem which was held in 13 Richard II (22 Jun 1389-21 Jun 1390). In his Inquisition he is described as "tenant, by courtesy, of the manor and advowson of Bertumlegh, included in one description with Cure and Landecan."
