From the Founding fathers of Rio Abajo data base, her name is given as María Rita Marta García.

In the N.M. Marriage, Churches of Immaculate Conception of Tóme and Our Lady of Belén pages 16, 27.

My father gave me her name as Rita García y Romero. According to Origins of NM Families, page 234, García was given to her by the man, Tomás García, who raised her father, Nicolás Montaño García.

I found her name as both Rita García and Rita Romero in the NM Marriages and Baptisms, San Augustin de la Isleta Church. As a parent, she used Rita García, but in her marriage record on page 15 she used Rita Romero. ^{3,31,34,46,252}

Rita married Juan Domingo de Torres, son of Diego de Torres and María Martín Serrano y Salazar, on 14 Jan 1766 in San Augustín de la Isleta, Isleta, Nueva Méjico, Nueva España.³⁴ (Juan Domingo de Torres was born about 1730 in Santa Fé, Santa Fé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España ³ and died in Tomé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.)
