• Web Reference: Matilde of Flanders. Henri I, Duke of Brabant married Mathilde of Boulogne (Mathilde of Flanders), daughter of Marie of Boulogne and Matthew of Alsace 1179. Mathilde was only nine years old at the time of her marriage, which produced seven children among whom were Henry II of Brabant and Mathilde who married as he second husband, Floris IV, Count of Holland.
