• Background Information: 252 The known children of Antonio Durán de Armijo María Quirós were Antonio II and Juan, and a girl Ynez, who is mentioned in a document of 1724.
Juan Durán de Armijo, also a son of the first Antonio, was taken to Chihuahua as a boy by his grandfather, José Quirós. He must have been brought back after his mother applied for his return in 1715. Juan's young son, José Antonio, served as a blacksmith's apprentice to his uncle Antonio of Taos, for whose forge he was petitioning in 1748. The names of Juan's wife and his other children, if any, are not known.
