• Background Information. 120 Gershom Flagg was he eldest son of Thomas Flagg. He was born in Watertown, MA, 16 Apr 1646. He settled in Woborn, MA, and married Hannah Leppingwell on 15 Apr 1688. Hannah was born 6 Jan 1647/8 in Woburn & was the duaghter of Mitchell Leppingwell. Hannah and Gershom had ten children.
Gershom Glagg was admitted freeman in Watertown 27 May 1676, and according to North's History of Augusta, Maine, he was slain by Native Americans at Lamprey River, NH, 6 Jul 1690, presumably while on an expedition against Fort Royal, Acadia, in French Territory. His widow married 10 Dec 1696. Ensign Israel Walker, whose first wife had died 9 Mar 1694.
