Alix and Arnold were the parents of Baldwin III, count of Flanders. 160

Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Adèle de Vermandois, daughter of Heribert II comté de Vermandois and his wife Adela Capet. She married, as his second wife, Arnoul I "le Grand" count of Flanders son of Baudouin II "le Chauve" and his wife, Ælfthryth of Wessex. "The Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis names "Adelam, domni Heriberti comitis filiam" as wife of "comes Arnulfus", specifying that she was "duorum Francorum regum, Odonis atque Rotberti, neptem" [Genealogiæ Comitum Flandriæ, Witgeri Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis MGH SS IX, p. 303]. "Adala coniunx Arnulfi" is named in the Cartulaire de Saint-Bertin [Saint-Bertin II.76, 938, p. 141]. The Annales Elnonenses Minores record the marriage (undated between 931 and 949) of "Arnulfus" and "Adelam, filiam Heriberti Vermandorum comitis" [Annales Elnonenses Minores (931-949), MGH SS V, p. 19].

(Arnould I "le Vieux" Comte de Flandres was born in 873-889 in Flanders, died on 27 Mar 964 in Flanders 529 and was buried in Saint-Pierre de Gand 174.)
