~Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition, 49:20, 162:18, gives her name as Alex de Vermandois, the daughter of Liegarde, daughter of Robert I, King of France and his wife Beatrix de Vermandois, and Herbert II, count of Vermandois Alix or Adele married Arnold I, "the Old" Count of Flanders and Artois. Alix and Arnold were the parents of Baldwin III, count of Flanders. 160

She married, as his second wife, Arnoul I "le Grand" count of Flanders son of Baudouin II "le Chauve" and his wife, Ælfthryth of Wessex. "The Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis names "Adelam, domni Heriberti comitis filiam" as wife of "comes Arnulfus", specifying that she was "duorum Francorum regum, Odonis atque Rotberti, neptem" [Genealogiæ Comitum Flandriæ, Witgeri Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis MGH SS IX, p. 303]. "Adala coniunx Arnulfi" is named in the Cartulaire de Saint-Bertin [Saint-Bertin II.76, 938, p. 141]. The Annales Elnonenses Minores record the marriage (undated between 931 and 949) of "Arnulfus" and "Adelam, filiam Heriberti Vermandorum comitis" [Annales Elnonenses Minores (931-949), MGH SS V, p. 19].
Adèle married Arnould I "le Vieux" Comte de Flandres, son of Baudouin II "le Chauve" Comte de Flandres and Ælfthryth Princess of England England 529. (Arnould I "le Vieux" Comte de Flandres was born in 873-889 in Flanders, died on 27 Mar 964 in Flanders 529 and was buried in Saint-Pierre de Gand 174.)
