Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Elvira Rodríguez was the daughter of Rodrigo Gutiérrez and his wife Otrosia. Her parentage and marriage are confirmed by a charter dated 1034 which names her children as well.

Elvira married Rodrigo Romániz, son of Román and Señorita Gundemáruz. (Rodrigo Romániz was born in Galicia, Iberia and died about 1028.)
