From the marriage of two of Juan de Herrera's children, Miguel and Isabel, we know that his wife was Ana López del Castillo, who had also died before 1680. Their known children were as follows: Juan II, Antonio, Miguel, Ana María, Eugenia, who married Antonio de Córdoba, Isabel, wife of Cristóbal Tafoya, and, possibly, Josefa, wife of Domingo Martín Serrano.
