• Background Information: 252 Francisco Gómez del Castillo was twenty-two in 1732, and was already married to Ursula Guillén, as attested by the baptisms of their children. Once he is referred to as "Gómez del Castillo, alías Luján." He was dead by 1762 when his mother made her last will and included his orphans among her heirs. His widow was still living at their ranch in 1766, when she declared that two of her boys had been killed by raiding Utes that May.
