Warine de Metz

~ H.R. Tedder, The Dictionary of National Biography, p. 223, Fulk Fitz Warine I was the second son of Warin de Metz, and of a daughter of the Peverels, then very powerful in Shropshire and the marches. ⁹⁴⁰

Warine de Metz's sons were Roger and Fulk, and a presumed third son was name William. Rober was living in 1145, and died without issure before the accession of Henry II. The earliest Pipe Roll of Henry II shows that Fult Fitz Warine was then the head of this house.

Warine married Mallet de Peverell, daughter of Payne de Peverell Lord of Brunne and Sister of Robert Pigot.⁴³⁴ (Mallet de Peverell was born about 1075 in Bourn, Caxton, Cambridgeshire, England.)
