Hugh de Frodesham, living during the time of Henry II and Richard I [Harl. MSS] was likely father of the next Frodesham mentioned, Peter de Frodesham. Peter, son of Hugh, was also mentioned in the Harl. MSS. as living during the time of Henry II and Richard I, and was the grantee of Richard Fitz Gilbert de Aston of land in Aston, as a site for a water mill.
