~Cokayne's Complete Peerage, 2nd Edition, Vol. IV, p. 317, Chart, Robert d'Avranches married do the daughter of Gelduin de Dol. They were the parents of Maud d'Avranches.

Medieval Lands gives two wives for Robert d'Avranches. His first wife was Hawise de Dol, daughter of Gelduin de Dol and his wife Noga de Tinteniac. "The 1130 Pipe Roll records "Robt de Abrinc" in Devonshire accounting to the king for his malevolence for his marriage to "filia Geldewini de Dol" [Pipe Roll 31 Hen I (1129/30), Devonshire, p. 155]." Domesday Descendants mentions that she is named Hawise in one of the charters of her husband "for the Mont" [ Domesday Descendants, p. 263, citing Barraclough Charters of the Anglo-Norman Earls of Chester, no. 10].
Robert's second wife was Matilda Avenell daughter of Randulf de Avenell and his wife Alice.
