Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition, 144A:18160, Ebles Mancer, baster of Ranulf II by Ermengarde, was comté de Poitou, 890-892. His first wife was named Aremburge and his second wife and the mother of William I of Poitou, was named Emiliane.

• Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Eble "Mancer" was the natural son of Rainulf II comté de Poitou et duc de Aquitaine and his mistress. "The Chronicle of Adémar de Chabannes names "Eblum" as son of "Ramnulfus…comes Pictaviensis", another manuscript specifying that he was born "ex concubina" [Adémar de Chabannes III, 21, pp. 139 and 140]." Ebles married Emillane, of unknown parentabe. "Emmena femina" granted property "allodus situs in pago Pictavo in vicaria Salvinse in villa…Baidonnus" to "domnum Ebolum comitem et…uxorem eius Emillane" by charter dated Feb 911 [Saint-Maixent, Vol. I, VIII, p. 19.]."
Ebles married Emliana in 911.
