• Background Information. 62 Nathaniel Atwood was a yeoman farmer in Eastham. He was born in Eastham, 18 Apr 1713, and died there, 28 Mar 1769, in his fifty-sixth year. He married first, 7 Jan 1735/36, Abigail Stevens, b. 14 Mar 1715, d. 6 Oct 1760, Eastham, the daughter of Richard Stevens and Abigail Treat. Nathaniel then married, second, 9 Apr 1761/62, Pricilla Freeman, who survived him.
Nathaniel mentions his five sons, Nathaniel, Richard, Stevens, Enoch, Herman and his daughter Abigail in his will. His will was witnessed by John Atwood, Josha Knowles and Barn Freeman.
