Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Kings of León & Asturias Alfonso de León was the son of Vermundo II Rey de León and his second wife Elvira García de Castilla. The Chronicon Regum Legionensium names "Alfonso and Teresa" as the children of King Vermudo and his wife Elvira [p. 77].
