Knight, ob. 1238 married to Joan, heir of William Bassingbourne of Hatfield | Sir John Fitz-Simon, eldest son, of Symon's Hide &c. in Herts, Shoebury, &c. in Essex. Member of Parliment for Herts 1290-1295, ob. 1309, married Margaret, daughter of Sir William Gernon of Theydon in Essex | Adam, third son of four, of North Shoebury and Wakering; ob. 1328 | Edward, ob. 1362 married to Anne Havering of Upminster
• Background Information. 1338 William Fitz Simon, second son of Simon Fitz Richrd and his wie, Avice, elder daughter and co-heir of William de Owby, having attached himself to the party of King John, received from that Monarch lands in Hatfeld, Radwell, Gravelle, Offelee, Minlesdene, and Estevenach, Herts. William died in 1217 and was follwed by heir son and heir, Sir Adam Fitz-William.
