William Fitz Simon, second son of Simon Fitz Richrd and his wie, Avice, elder daughter and co-heir of William de Owby, having attached himself to the party of King John, received from that Monarch lands in Hatfeld, Radwell, Gravelle, Offelee, Minlesdene, and Estevenach, Herts. William died in 1217 and was follwed by heir son and heir, Sir Adam Fitz-William.
