Sir Nicholas Carew made his will on 10 May 1520, proved in 1522 therein mentioning his lady Malyn, daughter of Robert Oxenbridge of Forden in Sussex, and devising his lands in Surry, Sussex, Lincoln, Essex and Guisnes to Nicholas, his son who was afterwards selected knight of the garter.
