Christian Settipani-States that "Charles (Charlemagne) Married a girl of very noble race of Suevians, Hildegarde by name. She was issued from Godefred, duke of Alamans. Godefred had for a son Huoching of whom was was born Nebi and from Nebi, Emma gave birth to Hildegarde." 162

~ Weis's Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition, 50:13, 182:1-5, 190:13, Charlemagne, son of Pepin III and Berthe, daughter of Charibert, count of Laon, married Hildegarde, daughter of Gerold of Swabia, Count of Linzgau, Perfect in Bavaris. Hildegarde's mother was Emma, daughter of Nebi, count of Alemania. Nebi was the son of Houching, who was the son of Godefried, Duke of Alemania, 687-709. 160


Emma married Gerold of Swabia Count of Linzgau & Prefect of Bavaria. (Gerold of Swabia Count of Linzgau & Prefect of Bavaria was born circa 725 and died in 799 in battle against the Avars.)
