Elvira (or Christina) Rodríguez was the daughter of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (el Cid) and his wife Jimena Díaz. She married Ramiro Sánchez de Navarra. "The "Corónicas" Navarras name "doña Cristiana…doña Maria" as the two daughters of "este meo Çid" and his wife, stating that Cristina married "l'ifant don Romiro" ["Corónicas" Navarras 2.23, p. 45].
