Sir Richard de Draycote of Draycote, Staffordshire, was the son and heir of Sir Philip de Draycote of the same, by his wife Alice. Sir Richard was under age on 7 1269. He was summoned for military service from May 1297 (25 Edward I) until 20 Aug 1316 (10 Edward II), He was also summoned to a council on May 1324 (17 Edward II) and to attend the King at Salisbury on 26 Jan 1286/7 (25 Edward I) by write directed to Ricardo de Draycote. He was Sheriff for the county of Lincoln in 1298-1299.

Sir Richard Draycote married Lettice, daughter and heir of Robert de Bek, of Tean and Hopton, Staffordshire by Orabel, his wife. Lettice died berfore Oct. 1292. Sir Richard was living in May 1324.
