Robert de 'Tollethorpe,' son of Thomas de Tolethorpe, married Alice, daughter of Robert L'Abbe, and in 1235 held a third part of a knight's fee in Rutland. [Bk. of Fees (P.R.O.), p. 506.] In 1263 he obtained the right to a free fishery in the Gwash (Wesse) from Tolethorpe to the old bridge at Ryhall, from Hugh le Despenser [Feet of F. Rutl. file 3, no. 62].
