~Ormerod's History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, vol. III, p. 661, adds to the confussion. He names her as the daughter of Robert de Legh and Matilda, daughter of Adam de Norley. Ormerod also lists another Margaret Legh, daughter of the same Robert de Legh and his first wife Sybil de Honford, who also marries a John de Asshton, but the Margeret who marries Sir John de Asshton is given as the daughter of Matild de Norley. 713
Margaret married Sir John Assheton Knight, son of Sir Thomas de Assheton Knight and Unknown 535,833,931.,1011 (Sir John Assheton Knight was born in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England and died after 1389.)
