Robert de Mohaut was heir to his brother, Ralph. Robert was lord of Mold and Steward of Chester, and between 1192 and 1208, he made a grant of Goosetrey to the abbey pf St. Werburgh. He was engaged in the war with Llewelyn, 1199/99. He granted pasture rights in Saltney to Basingwerk Abbey.
