Sir Geoffrey had a son and heir, Sir Geoffrey Dutton, Knight, genearlly styled, D'nus Galfridus Filus Galfridi de Dutton who was re-granted the other half of Warburton, in 1271. He also obtained the mediety of Lymme from the Boydelis, by grant. To one of his Deeds there is a seal, viz: a man's arm in a manche or loose sleeve, with a fleur-de-lis in his hand, written Sigillum Galfridi de Dutton.

His second wife was Isabella. Sir Geoffrey had issue by his first wife, Peter, his heir, Thomas, whom he granted Thelwall in 1258/59, and Margaret, wife first of Robert de Denbigh, and secondly, of Nicholas de Leycester.

Sir Geoffrey Duton, a.k.a. Sir Geoffrey Buddeworth, Knight, succeeded to the estate about 1248, and was living in 1275. His children by his unknown first wife were Sir Peter de Dutton, knight, a.k.a. Sir Peter de Weberton; Thomas de Dutton of Thelwall, 1258; and Margaret, her first husband was Robert de Denbigh and her second husband was Sir Nicholas Leycester of Tabley.
