William Mobberley, son and heir of the first William Mobberley, married Maud, daughter and heir of Robert Downes of Chorley, and Edmund Fitton gave all his lands in Chorley in free marriage with Margery his sister. Willaim was the sheriff of Chesire in 13 Edward II (1319). He died 1 Edward III (1327).

[According to Collin's Peerage of England, Vol. I p.p. 59-60, William's first two children, Raufe and Ciceley were children of his first unnamed wife.]
