William de Grandison, brother of Sir Otes de Grandison, was most probably son and heir of Pierre de Granson, Seigneur de Granson on the Lake of Neufchâtel, by Agnes, daughter of Ulric, comté de Neufchâtel, and a grandson of Ebal IV, Seigneur de Granson.

~According to Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists, 8th Edition, William was the son of Pierre de Grandison and his wife Agnes de Neufchâtel (Neuenberg). ¹⁶⁰
