Richard de Worsley, son and heir of Geoffrey and Agnes, made several grants and acquistions of Land. He was a defendant to a claim for common of pasture brought by Richard son of Roger de Worsley. [Assize Roll, 408, m. 32] Richard married Maud, daughter of Alice daughter of William the clerk of Eccles. Maud may have been Richard's second wife. On their marriage, John de Wardley granted them land in Wardley (Worthley) in Worsley, with the remained granted to Maud's brother Robert [Ellesmere D. no. 161].

Richard was still living in 1292. He had many children. His eldest son, also named Richard, died about the same time he did, so the family estates passed to his next son, Henry. Richard had another son named Jordan and Jordan had a son anmed Wardley.
