Domingo Sanches, son of Juan Cristóval Sanches and Juana María Chaves, enlisted on 17 Sep 1808 at the age of 30, from Tomé 5"2', chestnut colored hair, beard and eyebrows, blue eyes, light complexion.

Domingo married María Guadalupe Baca, daughter of José Antonio Baca and Juana María de la Concepción Chávez, on 29 Mar 1797 in Tomé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.⁴⁶ (María Guadalupe Baca was born 1767 or 1768 in Los Cháves, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España ⁴⁶.)

Domingo Sanches, 23 , español. the legitimate son of Juan Cristóbal Sanches and Juana Chaves, citizens of the puesto of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de los Chaves in the Belén jurisdiction. María Guadalupe Baca, 21, española, the legitimate daughter of the late José Baca and Juan María Cháves, citizens of San Antonio del Sausal in the Belén jurisdiction. The was related in the fourth degree of consanguinity. Father Bernal at Belén found no baptismal records for them, but stated that Torbio Chaves and María Gertrudis Chaves testified that fray Manuel Rojo had baptized Domingo Sánches at the chapel in Tomé in 1773, and that Miguel Antonio Chaves, 62, a citizen of Sausal, had attened the baptism of María Guadalupe Baca in 1772 with Bernardo Chaves and María Isabel Armijo as godparents.

Domingo Sanches stated that he knew he and María Guadalupe Baca were related, but was ignorant as to the degree. Since 1793, he had been in love with her and no other. There were few women in the area to whom he was not related. He added that he had deprived her of her virginity, she was poor and had no other man to marry, and almost everyon in the Río Abajo was related. María Guadalupe Baca stated that she had lost her father, and while they had begun the prenuptial investigations in 1793, they had not completed them.

Witnesses: Toribio García Jurado, 65, stated that the couple was related in the prohibited degree as follows:
