John Rogers, Junior, at the age of 15, came to live with his father about the time his sister, Elizabeth married Stephen Prentis, of Bruen's Neck. Although he had permission of his mother, she sent a constable to forcibly return him to Lyme. He soon returned and embraced his father's religious teachings.

Elizabeth Griswold, relinquished all claim to the Mamacok farm for thirty pound and the promise that John would never trouble her father about the farm again. This farm ws given to John Rogers, junior. John Jr. married his cousin, Bathsheba Smith, and settled at Mammacock. He raised eighteen children, most of them also became followers of their grandfather's teachings. Mamacock and the neighboring highland overwhich the Rogers family spread, was called Quaker Hill.
