The father of Henry Wolcott was John Wolcott of Tolland. The parish record of his birth has disapped, but the faint inscription on his veneralbe sarcophagus next to the Tolland church shows that he died on 21 mar 1618. John Wolcott's will is dated 10 Nov ____ and proved 16 Jan ____.

The will of John Wolcot, dated 10 Nov 1623, and proved Jan 16____ bequeaths, "my soule into the hand of god my avious and reddemer of my body to Christian burial, " with bequests "unto John Wolcoot my son John's eldest sonne," . . . "unto Agnes Wolcott, the daughter of John," . . . "unto Mary Wolcott the daughter of my sonne John," . . . "unto Symon Wolcott my kinsman," . . . "unto Giles More my servant," . . . and "unto Richard Locke, Alexander Thatloke, John Sealy and Alexander Engrance;" . . . and makes John Wolcott executor; witnessed by Christopher Wolcott and Henry Woolcott, his two eldest sons - being in the handwriting of the former.
