Diego Gallegos made his will at San José del Parral on June 27, 1657. He gave his parents as Pasquala de Ruada and Luis Gallegos, and that they too were residents of Guadiana. He claims his wife Caltalina de Rivera and their four children, Ygnacio, Diego, Joseph, and María.

Alférez Diego Gallegos, a rancher and miner, was married to Catalina de Ribera. They were the parents of José Gallegos (most likely baptized on 22 March 1657) and Antonio Gallegos, the progenitors of the Gallegos family in New México.
