• Dates & Events: 252 Juan Luján II was active in the political intrigues of Governor Rosa's times and after. He was a captain and Alcalde Mayor of the Taos-Picurís district. He was a brother in law of Francisco Gómez, and a kinsman of Pedro Lucero. In 1661, he had an estancia in Taos Valley, and was known as "El Viejo" in relationship to Juan Luján, his son. His daughter was María, who was the wife of Juan de Archuleta. ~Origins of New Mexico Families, pg. 63
Juan married Señorita Sosa. (Señorita Sosa was born about 1600.)
