Sir Thomas de Thwenge, suceeded his brother as the 4th Lord of Thwenge, he was born 1283 at Kilton Castle. He was Rector of Kirkleatham, 1292, and in 1347 endowed the Austin Friars of York with 20s rents in rotsea towards finding bread and wine for celebration of divine service. In 1348, he founded a chantry for twelve priests and four clerks to pray for his soul and those of his ancestors in Kirkleathan chantry. He granted the reversion of Kilton to his nephew, Marmaduke de Lumley, son of his sister Lucia, wife of Robert de Lumley, Knight. He died June 1374 and his Inq. p. m. took place in 25 Jun 1374. the barony fell into abeyance among the descendants of his sisters.
