In 1538, Henry Ferror acquired lands in Hollinhey, Halifax, which he surrendered to his son Henry 26 Mar 1539 [Wakefield Manor Roll].

Bishop Robert Farrer, who was burned at the stake for his religious beliefs in 1555, was likely the Henry's brother.

The Will of Henry Farrar of Ewood Hall, in the township of Midgley and parish of Halfax, Yorkshire, England was dated 25 Jun 1548 and proved on 26 Nov 1549. Farrar named his wife Agnes and his youngest daughter, "Agnes Ferrer" as his "executrices." Henry also names "John Ferror of Elffaburghe, John Horsfall of Stoythlaye, William Ferror and Henrie Ferror my sones, the supvisors of this my present will and testament. . ."
