Jane Tapp

Jane Tapp was the only daughter of Edmund Tapp, one of the founders of the Church in Milford. She died the last of Oct 1703 at the age of seventy-five and buried in the Milford cemetery. Her name was spelled Jane Treate on her gravestone.

Jane married Robert Treat Governor, son of Richard Treat and Alice Gaylard, in Milford, Connecticut. (Robert Treat Governor was born in England, christened on 25 Feb 1625 in Pitminster, Somerset, England ⁶⁰⁰ and died on 12 Jul 1710 in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut ⁶⁰⁰.)
