Originally I had Cayetano Cristóbal Torres as the son of María Rafaela Baca. In The New Mexico Genealogical Society Journal, Vol. 46 #3, p. 140-141, in an article about Cayetano, it is pointed out that in the 1750 Belen Census, Cayetano is listed as the first child, with Juan Domino, Martín & Bartolomé following. The Spanish Census always lists children according to their birth order. Records for the brothers, Juan Domino, Martín & Bartolomé, who follow Cayetano name their parents as Diego de Torres and María Martín. 1508

Cayetano Christobal Torres was listed on the grant given by Governor Gaspar Domingo de Mendoza on Novermber 15, 1740 along with his father, Captain Diego Torres. and his borther Juan Domingo Tórres.

Calletano Torres died in San Antonio de Sabinal on 25 Apr 1780. Cayetano did not leave a will, and don Pablo de Salazar was named the executor along with Calletano's wife, doña Feliciana Ballejos. His heirs were named as Javier Garcia, widower of Juana María Torres; Salvador Armijo, husband of María Francisca Torres; Juan Francisco Torres and Antonia Rita Torres.


Cayetano married María Feliciana Vallejos, daughter of Bernardo Vallejos and Francisca Xaviera de Silva. (María Feliciana Vallejos was born in 1731 in Tomé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España 40, baptized on 5 Mar 1731 in Alburquerque, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España 40 and died in Sabinal, New México, Republica de México.)
