John Finney married, first, at Lenton on 22 Nov 1636, Christian Patten. Christian was baptized 23 Nov 1608 in the parish of Sneinton, immediately east of the city of Nottingham and three miles from Lenton, a daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Trinder) Patten. Christian died at Plymouth, Massachusetts 9 Sep 1649.
