Pedro Martín Serrano de Salazar's wife, Juana de Argüello, returned to Santa Fé in 1693 to re-settle the ancestral La Cañada country. He was already dead, since Juana is listed as a widow on the El Paso Muster Roll of 1692-1693. Juana, seventy years old in 1718, was still living with her daughter, Josefa, the widow of Andrés Archuleta, in Santa Fé.

Juana de Argüello was the widow of Pedro Martín Serrano, who had died in 1691. Juana returned to New México and was living in Santa Fé with her daughter Josefa.

Alférez Pedro Martín Serrano married Juana de Argüello, born about 1648. Juana was a resident of Santa Fe who died after 1718 in New Mexico. In a petition dated 15 Feb 1718, Juana declared that she was seventy years old, more of less, indicating she was born around 1678 [SANM I, 505]. The petition was made to transfer title of her house and lands on the "other side of the river," (south side) to her widowed daughter Josefa de Archuleta. Juana de Argüello was referred to as a native of New Mexico by her son, Antonio Martín, in 1709 [NM Roots, Ltd., 1098-99, no. 24, Santa Cruz].
