Francisco de Valencia lived in the Isleta jurisdiction around the middle of the century. He declared himself to be 50 to 54 in the years of 1661 to 1664, and a native of Santa Fé. He was the Lieutenant General for the Rio Abajo area, as well as Syndic of the Franciscans at Isleta.

Francisco de Valencia was married to María López Millán, also nicknamed "la Maricota." Their estancia was on the site of the present town of Valencia. The county in this part of New México is also called Valencia. Francisco was dead by 1668, when his wife is referred to as a widow. María was alive in 1684.

Francisco married Maria López Milán, daughter of Alvaro García Holgado and Juana de los Reyes Sánchez.²⁵² (Maria López Milán was born before 1626 in Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España and died after 1684 ²⁵².)
