Ventura de la Candelaria had a first wife by the name of Francisca Torres; their son, Salvador, married a María Durán in Albuquerque in 1725. On January 16, 1727, a son, Manuel, was born to him and Efigenia; the mother must have died in childbirth or soon after, for on July 20 of the same year he married Ynez Gutiérrez.

Ventura Candelaria was still another son of Francisco Candelaria and Francisca Montoya, as discovered from his marriage to Petrona Efigenia García in 1719 (DM, 1719, no. 15). Therefore, Ventura was a nephew of Felix and son of Francisco, and not their brother, and he was a brother of the now famous author Juan.

The early residents of Albuquerque may be related to Juan de la Candelaria and his wife Juana Tórres de la Candelaria, Ventura de la Candelaria and his wife Petrona Efigena García de Noriega, or another brother. Juan and Ventura were the sons of Francisco Candelaria and Francisca Montoya. Francisco was the son of Blas de la Candelaria and Ana de Sandoval y Manzanares.

Ventura was born sometime around 1686-1693. His first wife was Francisco Tórres who he married between 1709-1710. His second wife was Petrona Efigenia García, age 15 (born abt. 1704), a native of New México, and the daugther of Francisco García, soldier and María de Ribera. She died on 7 May 1727.

Juan de la Candelaria was born in 1692. Juan petitioned, on 27 July 1717, to marry Juana Torres de la Candelaria, who was at least 22 years old, and a native of New México. They married on 8 Aug 1717. Juana Tórres died between 1746 and 1750. Juan de la Candelaria is listed as a mulato, widower of Juana Tórres, in the Spanish Census of 1750. Juan de la Candelaria married Juliana Saenz (Saez).

Bentura de la Candelaria
, the son of Francisco Candelaria and Francisca Montoya, first Francisca de Tórres, then Petrona Efigenia García. Bentura de la Candelaria and Francisca de Tórres had one son, Salvador Candelaria who married María Durán.

Bentura de la Candelaria married Petrona Efigenia Garcia, the daughter of Francisco García, soldier, and María Rivera. Their son was Antonio Francisco Candelaria who married Andrea Gutierres in Alburquerque on 17 Jun 1733. Another son of Bentura's and Petrona's was Antonio de la Candelaria.
