bullet  Information about this person:

• Background Information. 670
What little is known about John Kyrkeby is from his will. His wife, Rose, survived him. He held a sizable amount of property in and around Standon, including a place called Fabydons, whe he resided. In his will he bequeathed a tanhouse and some leather, which may mean he was a tanner. The name Kyrkeby is taken from a place and a Viking word that means "place by the church." His descendants shorted the name to Kirby.
