Nele de Mowbray, of Thirsk, died in Acre in 1191. He married about 1170 to Mabel of unknown parentage.

Nele de Mowbray, son and heir of Roger de Mowbray, was present at the Council of Claredon, Jan 1163/4. He was married to Lady Mabel, whose parentage is not know sometime before Michaelmas 1170. He was in possession of the Norman lands in 1172, while his father was still living. He joined his father in the unsuccessful rebellion against the King in 1173. He was present at King Richard's Coronation, 3 Sep 1180, and went with Richard on his Crusade, 3 Sep 1189. He died while on Crusades at Acre in 1191. His widow, Mabel appears to have died sometime around 1203.
